Winter is already here, and there’s no other option than assuming it. It’s time to remove the warm clothes from the wardrobe. It’s really easy to keep warm with style, it’s just a matter of choosing the right garment.

Parka, raincoat, duffle or padded coat…which one do I buy?

 The best thing is to have several timeless coats or jackets that can be used for a variety of ocassions and once a while update the wardrobe with the essentials of the season.

El frío ya está aquí, si, y no nos queda otra que asumirlo. Ya es hora de sacar las prendas abrigadas del armario. Es muy fácil ir abrigada y con estilo a la vez, solo hay que saber elegir la prenda perfecta.

Parka, gabardina, plumas, trenka…¿y cuál me compro?

Lo ideal es tener varios abrigos o chaquetas de calidad, que sean a temporales para que puedan servirnos en variedad de ocasiones y de vez en cuando renovar el armario con los imprescindibles de la temporada.

 Abrigos de pelo / Fur coats

Always synthetic. All the designers bet for fur coats this winter and the low cost shops introduce them in their collections.

I like choosing tones that are easy to combine with other garments, such as black, brown or grey. You can find fur coats to the waist, half leg height or to the hips…choose the one that best fits your body. 

Sintético siempre por supuesto. Todos los diseñadores apuestan por los abrigos de pelo este invierno y las tiendas low cost introducen estas prendas en sus colecciones.

A mi me gusta optar por tonos que sean fáciles de combinar con otras prendas, como el negro, marrón o gris. Se pueden encontrar abrigos de pelo a la cintura, a media pierna o a la cadera…elige el que mejor se adapte a tu cuerpo.

Plumifero o acolchado / Padded coat

Another very good option are the padded coats. Its the perfect garment to fight against cold. BUT looking smart with a padded coat, seems a complicated task.

To balance volumes is essential. If there’s many volumen in the jacket, pair it with skinny jeans and simple shoes. They are worn in grey, brown and blacks.

Otra muy buena opción son las parkas de pluma. Es la prenda perfecta para combatir el frío. PERO ser elegante con un plumífero, resulta una tarea muy complicada.

Equilibrar los volúmenes es  fundamental. Si hay mucho volumen en la chaqueta, es recomendable compensar con un pitillo y unos zapatos poco excesivos. Se llevan sobretodo en grises, marrones y negros.

Trenka / Duffle coat

 If we’re looking for a more timeless and classic ítem, the ideal is a beige duffle coat, an essential basic, season after season.

 Don’t you remember that we all had one when little? I was charmed with closing those large buttons and wearing the hood!

Si buscamos una prenda más clásica y atemporal, la apuesta es un trenka beige, un básico imprescindible en cualquier armario, temporada tras temporada y año tras año.

 ¿O no os acordais que todas teníamos una cuando eramos pequeñas? ¡A mi me encantaba cerrarme esos botones de forma alargada y ponerme la capucha! 

Abrigo Rosa / Pink coat

The pink coats, are probably the trend which is going to caracterize this autumn-winter. It’s worn with lapels and if it has buttons, better. It’s a new trend and it’s calling our attention because pink has always been a colour for spring and summer seasons.

The coat must be the focus of the outfit, it’s perfect to wear it with black or with other pastel colours, but careful you don’t look like a Candy!

Los abrigos rosas de paño, son quizás la tendencia que más va a caracterizar a este otoño-invierno. Se lleva siempre con solapas y mejor si es con botones. Si es XXL mejor, y así se complementan dos tendencias: El color rosa y las chaquetas oversize. Es un color nuevo ya que el rosa se vestía únicamente en las temporadas de primavera-verano.

Hay que dejar que el abrigo sea el protagonista del look, perfecto llevarlo combinado con negro o con otros tonos pastel, ¡pero cuidado con parecer un caramelo!
